Supplier Quality Manager - Material Processing and Mining Machinery Industry

Role Overview:

As the Supplier Quality Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the consistent delivery of top-notch materials, components, and products from their suppliers. This strategic position requires a collaborative mindset as you work alongside Procurement, Operations, and the Supply Chain to foster a culture of quality excellence within their supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Operations, and the Supply Chain to seamlessly integrate supplier quality considerations.
• Drive Supplier Development initiatives, partnering with suppliers to enhance their quality systems and capabilities in alignment with industry best practices.
• Lead the implementation of robust Supplier Performance Management strategies, actively monitoring crucial metrics and taking proactive measures to address challenges.
• Conduct audits and assessments of supplier facilities to ensure adherence to stringent quality standards and relevant regulations.
• Effectively manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies pertaining to supplier quality to uphold our commitment to excellence.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers, enhancing quality, efficiency, and collaboration across the supply chain.
• Build, mentor, and lead a team of skilled Supplier Quality Engineers to bolster supplier relationships and drive forward quality initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven expertise in Supplier Development and Supplier Performance Management is indispensable for this role.
• A good understanding of machinery manufacturing processes including welding, machining, assembly, controls, and electronics is a valuable asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an innate ability to build productive relationships while adeptly navigating challenges and pushing for optimal outcomes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and the capability to effectively manage and inspire a team of Supplier Quality Engineers.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Exceptional communication skills and a natural inclination toward collaboration.
