Are you a Senior Health & Safety Officer looking for a new job in the Co Monaghan area? I am currently looking to recruit a Senior SHEQ Officer to support the operations of this Monaghan based Contractor. The role will be based at their offices in Castleblaney with some travel to their sites throughout Ireland.
As Senior SHEQ Officer you will develop ownership and a proactive approach to all Safety Health Environmental & Quality related matters while ensuring the implementation of the Safety Management System is always adhered to.
Reporting to Senior Management the SHEQ Officer you will be responsible for the following.
- Provide operational support for the construction teams implementing operational ownership of Health and Safety
- Manage the Safety Officers and any other staff within the safety department and ensure personnel are deployed logically to sites/tasks to ensure maximum use of resources
- Ensure a positive culture to incident reporting, ensuring all incidents are thoroughly investigated and root causes found.
- Maintenance and development of the Safety, Environmental & Quality Systems
For this SHEQ Officer's job, you must have the following:
- NEBOSH or NCRQ Certificate
- Proven understanding of Health and Safety legislation
- Experience of working to ISO standards such as 9001, 14,001, 45001
- Attention to detail and driven towards continuous improvement
- Commercially aware
- Good communications skills - written and verbal
- Good interpersonal skills and man-management
- Fully competent in using industry-standard IT systems and software
- Full UK driving licence
What’s on offer?
This is a varied role in managing safety across a number civils & mixed-use, health care and education sites. Salary is negotiable circa €45,000 - €55,000 depending on experience along with a pension & expenses.
