The role,
The SHEQ Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and quality across operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and extensive experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and implement health and safety policies to foster a strong safety culture.
- Act as the primary contact for clients and internal teams regarding Health and Safety.
- Lead the creation and issuance of risk assessments and method statements.
- Investigate and manage accidents and incidents, implementing preventative measures.
- Develop and lead Health and Safety training for employees.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure remedial actions are taken.
- Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to ensure vehicle and road safety compliance.
- Advise Senior Management on Health and Safety legislation and best practices.
What you’ll need,
- Third-level education in a Health and Safety-related discipline.
- NEBOSH/IOSH qualification is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior SHEQ role.
- Previous experience in the electrical industry or a construction-related Health and Safety role is preferred.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Train the Trainer and First Aid certifications are desirable.
