Are you a Senior Health & Safety Advisor or SHEQ advisor looking to work for a forward-thinking and growing organisation, this Dungannon based Electrical Contracting business is currently recruiting for a SHEQ Advisor on a part-time basis? Established over forty years ago, this is an exciting time to join this organisation, they have established themselves as leading players in Industrial & Commercial Electrical Contracting across several sectors and industries.
Role Information
- You will be responsible for assisting in developing and delivering an effective Business Management Compliance program, to meet statutory requirements and industry best practice throughout its operations and services.
- You will be responsible for the provision of professional SHEQ support to the Business. You will develop strategies and plans to ensure that each business unit can achieve compliance with the system and where possible move them toward best practice.
- Work with each business unit, and update each manager as to new processes and procedures such that they reflect the needs of the business and deliver effective, pragmatic, robust and progressive business management.
- Submit site reports promptly showing performance against the key performance indicators set by the business.
- Assist all managers in achieving compliance with the legislative and procedural expectations of the Enforcing Authorities, and to ensure that managers within the business are provided with appropriate assistance to meet their legal and Business Management System obligations.
- Establish effective business relationships and work closely and cooperatively with the site teams and managers
- Support the business in ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.
For this SHEQ Manager’s job you will need to have the following:
- Background in construction ideally from the commercial or industrial sector
- Hold a relevant H&S Qualification (NEBOSH Construction advantageous)
- Excellent knowledge of current H&S legislation
- Good IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent presentation, report writing and communication skills
- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to understand clients’ needs
- Keen interest in keeping knowledge on latest legislation up to date
- Passionate attitude and approach to H&S

For the right SHEQ Advisor, your rewards will include job satisfaction and a chance to make your mark. Hours are flexible based on 30 hours per week. Salary on offer is up to £35,000 (Pro – Rata) and the package will also include pension, holidays and expenses
