Are you a Health & Safety Officer interested in contract safety jobs in Mainland Europe? I am currently working with a Tier 1 Main Contractor who require a Health & Safety Officer to work on a Datacentre project in Denmark. The main objective of the Health and Safety Advisor will be to provide competent, professional support to Operations and Site Managers in all matters of health, safety and quality. They will also ensure ongoing adherence to all statutory legislation, guidance and approved codes of practice across their contracts.
As a Health & Safety Officer your new job will include the following:
- Attend regular Health & Safety meetings
- Review sub-contractors’ Safety Statements and Safety Compliance
- Carrying out safety inspections and producing risk assessments
- Regularly review and update Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures and Safety Statement
- Investigate, record and report accidents, incidents and near-misses promptly, ensuring any corrective actions are implemented without delay
- Identify new and on-going safety-related training requirements, ensuring all mandatory training is reviewed and delivered on time
- Ensure that correct PPE is availed of at all times by all relevant employees
The successful Health & Safety Officer you will have the following skills:
- NEBOSH or relevant Health and Safety Qualification
- At least 1-2 years working as a Health and Safety Officer on Construction Projects
- Strong people management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- As this is a contract role sponsorship will not be provided
- You must hold a current Irish / EU Passport
