The role:
- As a Quality Engineer, you will have a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, quality, and timely delivery of our products. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Material Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, including PPAP, QAP, and ECO inspections, to ensure compliance with quality standards. Document all inspection activities with meticulous attention to detail and maintain traceability of inputs and decision-making.
- Supplier Performance Improvement: Collaborate with the Quality team to identify and address nonconforming material issues. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier, internal, and customer quality issues. Approve and follow up on in-house technical claims to our supply base, fostering continuous improvement.
- Product and Process Quality: Support the development of product and process quality by actively engaging in quality initiatives and contributing to the continuous improvement of our Integrated Management System (IMS). Act as the leading voice of customer quality within the assigned value stream, advocating for excellence in every aspect of our products.
- Safety: Prioritize safety in all operations and ensure that all tasks are carried out in a safe and effective manner. Take proactive measures to maintain personal health and safety, as well as the safety of others around you.
The ideal Quality Engineer will have the following skills and experience.
- Minimum three years of experience in a quality engineering function, preferably with a focus on mechanical industry and assembly operations.
- Strong technical understanding of manufactured products and their functionality.
- A clear understanding of technical drawings and the ability to interpret them accurately.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
- Experience in using quality tools such as Ishikawa, Histogram, Pareto, etc., and a working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, statistical analysis, quality problem-solving, and continuous improvement techniques are highly desirable.
- Good understanding of ISO QEHS Management system standards (9001 / 14001 / 45001).
- Excellent communication and cooperation skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
