HSEQ Officer Job – Outside Newry
Newry – Commutable from Armagh, Banbridge, Newcastle, Dundalk
Salary and Benefits – £35,000 - £45,000
Health Safety Environmental & Quality / HSEQ Officer with a good knowledge of H&S and NEBOSH / IOSH qualified is required for a permanent position with a well-known contractor based outside Newry. Specialising in both residential and commercial contracts. Minimal travel required and salary (dependent on experience and qualifications) plus excellent benefits, working hours are flexible. The role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the main objective of this role is to assist with the overall maintenance of the company’s HSEQ Management Systems. Actively participating in the organisation's continuous improvement initiatives ensuring all HSEQ and client requirements are met or exceeded. You will be responsible for all daily administrative aspects of H&S and the environment as well as supporting the upkeep of all the ISO management systems.
What you will need:
- Professionally qualified within the HSEQ field (NEBOSH/NCRQ, BSc or MSc in Safety);
- Proven track record as an operational HSEQ Officer within the Construction industry
- Thorough knowledge of current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Knowledge of quality standards, audit procedures and integrated management systems.
- Accident and incident investigation experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to positively influence others.
- IT literate.
- Full clean driving licence
