Are you a Health & Safety Officer looking for a new job in the North Dublin area? I am currently working with a mid-sized civils contractor who is currently recruiting a Health & Safety Officer to join them permanently. The company specialises in utilities and infrastructure works located throughout Dublin.
As the Health & Safety Officer your new job will include the following:
The Health and Safety Officer will primarily be responsible for ensuring that all safety legislation is adhered to and policies and practices are adopted. Implement the company’s health, safety, quality and environmental policy, procedures and management systems. You will work closely with site management on drafting and communicating Method Statements, Safe Plans of Action and Toolbox Talks.
You will provide advice, guidance and instruction in all health & safety matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including sub-contractors where appropriate).
You will also conduct regular inspections and site audits, reporting findings to site and senior company management and you will promote the Company mission of being a healthy and incident and injury-free workplace
The successful Health & Safety Officer you will have the following skills:
- Hold a relevant Health & Safety Qualification
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience on building projects in Ireland or the UK
- Hold a full, clean Driving license
- Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office including strong excel skills
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills
