The job
As a Health and Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Health and Safety Manager to drive health and safety standards within their organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conducting workplace inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management.
- Utilising continuous improvement techniques to enhance safety protocols.
- Promoting a safety-conscious culture throughout the organisation.
What you’ll need,
The successful Health and Safety Officer will possess the following qualifications:
- A degree-level qualification in a relevant field OR 3-5 years of experience in a dedicated H&S role in manufacturing.
- If holding a degree, a minimum of 2 years' experience in a dedicated H&S role in engineering/manufacturing.
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Proven experience in conducting workplace inspections and safety audits.
