
Health Safety Environmental Officer Job Co Tyrone
Location: Dungannon
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Reporting to: General Manager
Our client, a leading engineering manufacturer based in Dungannon is seeking a dynamic and experienced Health Safety Environmental Officer to join their team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful Health and Safety Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting all business units on assigned Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring full compliance with local legislation, company policies, and requirements while fostering a proactive and safety-conscious culture.
Your new job:
- Ensure compliance with local Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, as well as company policies and requirements.
- Lead HSE Steering meetings and Safety Committees.
- Assist in the Claims management process.
- Regularly review HSE Risk Assessments, Policies, and Procedures.
- Provide support on HSE and continuous improvement projects.
- Conduct Accident/Incident investigations on-site and support other investigations.
- Collaborate with regulatory enforcement agencies, insurance agencies, and occupational health providers.
- Identify and deliver HSE training as necessary.
- Collaborate with site teams to complete HSE improvement plans.
- Ensure the safety of contractors and visitors both on-site and externally.
What you’ll need:
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or similar.
- Knowledge of current Health, Safety, and Environmental Legislation.
- Good working knowledge of Risk assessments, COSHH and RIDDOR.
- Experience with ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO9001.
- Significant experience in a similar role within a similar industry.
