Job Description:

They are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join their team in Co Monaghan initially on a one-year fixed-term contract. The Health and Safety Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of employees and compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
• Provide guidance and support to site managers and employees on health and safety issues.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Lead safety training programs and initiatives to enhance awareness and compliance.
• Keep abreast of legislative changes and industry developments related to health and safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• NEBOSH certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
