Job Description:
They are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join their team in Co Monaghan initially on a one-year fixed-term contract. The Health and Safety Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of employees and compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to site managers and employees on health and safety issues.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Lead safety training programs and initiatives to enhance awareness and compliance.
- Keep abreast of legislative changes and industry developments related to health and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- NEBOSH certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
