If so, they have an exciting opportunity for you to join their dynamic team as a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager at this award-winning manufacturer based outside Newry.
As the Health and Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the behavioural change and cultural development required to establish an industry-leading position for the safety and well-being of their people and the environment. Reporting to the Head of Operations and being a part of the operations team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on their site.
Your New Health and Safety Managers Job will involve:
- Drive standardisation, improvement, and controls in HSE across the entire site, ensuring compliance with the company's H&S policy.
- Identify and maintain the H&SE Risk Register, implementing a continuous improvement program.
- Track H&SE Improvement Action Plans and associated KPIs, taking corrective actions to reduce accident risks.
- Review and approve H&SE investigations, ensuring comprehensive root cause analysis, solution design, and implementation.
- Evaluate proposed site capital investment projects for H&SE compliance, ensuring safe methods of working before commissioning.
- Lead H&SE compliance efforts in line with legislative, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Chair monthly H&SE meetings to review accidents, environmental non-compliance, and corrective actions.
- Establish corporate standards and operating procedures to govern H&SE practices across the site.
- Develop and implement H&SE training and coaching programs to promote behaviours, best practices, and excellence.
For this Health and Safety Manager’s job, you must have the following:
- Membership of the Institution of Occupational H&S (NEBOSH desirable).
- Proficiency in behavioural-based safety theory and its practical implementation.
- Extensive and demonstrable experience in H&SE leadership within food production, warehousing, transport, and logistics.
- Track record of handling Health and Safety Executive and local regulatory compliance inspections.
- Proven success in initiating and delivering safety behavioural change within food production sites.
