Senior Health & Safety Advisor Job

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Salary:  €60,000 - €70,000

Up to €16,000 Bonus

Travel: 10 / 4 rotations (Flights and Travel Arranged by the Company)

Accommodation: 1 Bedroom Apartment (No Sharing)

Employment Type: Permanent (Includes Pension & Holiday)

Are you an enthusiastic Health & Safety Advisor looking for a new and exciting challenge? On a large data centre construction project in Frankfurt, Germany, picture yourself leading their health and safety efforts.

As their Health and Safety Advisor, you'll be at the forefront of a groundbreaking venture, managing health and safety on a scale that's truly remarkable. If the prospect of international travel excites you, and you're eager to work on extensive data centre projects for esteemed organisations, this could be your next big move.

As their Health and Safety Lead your key responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and manage the company's health and safety management on our prestigious site in Frankfurt.
  • Ensure full compliance with local and national Health and Safety legislation, particularly during the project's construction phase.
  • Develop project-specific health & safety strategies, programs, and plans.
  • Coordinate various aspects of the construction health and safety program, including site access, security, project induction, first aid, welfare, and emergency arrangements.
  • Manage on-site construction health and safety resources.
  • Foster the adoption of industry best practices in health and safety on all projects.
  • Implement an active health and safety monitoring process through audits and inspections of site conditions and contractor activities.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance and challenges using predefined leading and lagging health and safety performance indicators.
  • Influence employee work practices through dialogue, relationship building, and behavioural safety coaching.
  • Report to the Operations Manager and other forums on Health and Safety initiatives, objectives, and performance.
  • Support projects throughout their lifecycle, from proposal to handover and operational stages.
  • Provide specialist health, safety, and well-being advice to management and project teams.
  • Ensure legal/regulatory compliance with respect to the latest occupational safety, health, and welfare requirements for the business unit.
  • Establish effective emergency response, case management, incident investigation, and reporting mechanisms to facilitate learning from incidents.
  • Work towards supporting a future ISO 45001 certification process.


  • Background in construction, preferably from the M&E sector (not essential).
  • Relevant H&S Qualification (NEBOSH Construction advantageous).
  • Excellent knowledge of current H&S legislation.
  • Proficiency in IT skills and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Outstanding presentation, report writing, and communication skills.
  • Excellent client-facing skills with a deep understanding of client's needs.
  • A keen interest in staying updated on the latest legislation.
  • A passionate attitude and approach to Health & Safety.
