Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Salary:  €60,000 - €70,000

Up to €16,000 Bonus

Travel: 10 / 4 rotations (Flights and Travel Arranged by the Company)

Accommodation: 1 Bedroom Apartment (No Sharing)

As their Health and Safety Advisor, you'll be at the forefront of a groundbreaking venture, managing health and safety on a scale that's truly remarkable. As their Health and Safety Lead your key responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and manage the company's health and safety management on our prestigious site in Frankfurt.
  • Ensure full compliance with local and national Health and Safety legislation, particularly during the project's construction phase.
  • Develop project-specific health & safety strategies, programs, and plans.
  • Coordinate various aspects of the construction health and safety program, including site access, security, project induction, first aid, welfare, and emergency arrangements.
  • Manage on-site construction health and safety resources.
  • Foster the adoption of industry best practices in health and safety on all projects.
  • Implement an active health and safety monitoring process through audits and inspections of site conditions and contractor activities.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance and challenges using predefined leading and lagging health and safety performance indicators.
  • Influence employee work practices through dialogue, relationship building, and behavioural safety coaching.
  • Report to the Operations Manager and other forums on Health and Safety initiatives, objectives, and performance.
  • Support projects throughout their lifecycle, from proposal to handover and operational stages.
  • Provide specialist health, safety, and well-being advice to management and project teams.
  • Ensure legal/regulatory compliance with respect to the latest occupational safety, health, and welfare requirements for the business unit.
  • Establish effective emergency response, case management, incident investigation, and reporting mechanisms to facilitate learning from incidents.
  • Work towards supporting a future ISO 45001 certification process.

Qualifications:

  • Background in construction, preferably from the M&E sector (not essential).
  • Relevant H&S Qualification (NEBOSH Construction advantageous).
  • Excellent knowledge of current H&S legislation.
  • Proficiency in IT skills and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Outstanding presentation, report writing, and communication skills.
  • Excellent client-facing skills with a deep understanding of client's needs.
  • A keen interest in staying updated on the latest legislation.
  • A passionate attitude and approach to Health & Safety.
