The main objective of the Health and Safety Advisor will be to provide competent, professional advice and support to Operations and Area Managers in all matters of health, safety and quality. They will also ensure ongoing adherence to all statutory legislation, guidance and approved codes of practice across their contracts.
As Health & Safety Advisor you will be responsible for the following;
- The compliance with statutory legislation at all times
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and assist in maintaining accreditations and procedures.
- Undertake and develop risk assessments and method statements.
- Complete CoSHH assessments and develop substance management procedures
- Investigate and review accidents and incidents where required
- Complete audits and track closeout of actions using our facilities management app.
- Support and develop health and safety processes and procedures
- Produce and develop toolbox talks and training library across the business.
- Chair health and safety committee meetings
- Support Divisional Safety Representatives in the development of process and delivery of new systems.
- Collate accident rates, training status and audit results for the business.
- Provide monthly reports to the Head of HSEQ
For this Health & Safety Advisor’s job, you must have the following:
- NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification
- Proven understanding of Health and Safety legislation
- Experience of working to OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Fully competent in using industry-standard IT systems and software
- Full driving licence
What’s on offer?
Salary is negotiable up to £50,000 depending on experience along with a pension & expenses.
You will also have flights and accommodation paid and receive a significant night out allowance.
