Job: Head of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ)

As the Head of SHEQ, you will hold a pivotal position in establishing and maintaining a robust SHEQ performance regime across the entire organisation. Taking the lead on all facets of SHEQ performance, you will spearhead efforts to enhance their in-house standards, systems, and protocols, ensuring seamless compliance with legislation and the implementation of industry best practices among their diverse team.
Your role will extend beyond day-to-day operations; you will actively contribute to shaping their strategic direction, aiming to position the company as a beacon of excellence in SHEQ within their sector. Leveraging your extensive expertise and experience, you will fortify their existing SHEQ legacy and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive SHEQ strategies and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and/or OSHA regulations, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of relevant guidelines and policies.
- Translate organisational objectives into actionable plans, aligning SHEQ efforts with broader business goals.
- Champion their core values of People, Innovation, Partnership, and Efficiency, integrating them into daily decision-making processes.
Key Requirements:
- NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) at Level 6 in Occupational Safety and Health.
- Internal Auditor certification for ISO 9001/14001/45001.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in operational SHEQ roles, with at least 5 years in senior leadership positions.
- Thorough understanding of legal HSE policies and guidelines.
- Ability to drive strategic initiatives and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
