Health and Safety Manager Job Belfast
Salary Range £50,000 - £55,000
This cargo handling, warehousing, and logistics business specialising in the paper and forest products sector seeks to appoint a Head of Safety to their senior management team. The job
The Head of Safety will support the business in fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous business improvement. The primary objective is to enhance the company's regulatory framework, building on its excellent reputation for delivering top service standards to both customers and employees. The Head of Health & Safety will champion and empower risk management in the compliance areas of Health & Safety, ESG, Quality Management, Security, and Data Protection, leading to continuous business improvement throughout the organisation.
The Head of Health & Safety will be based in the Belfast offices, with travel to other sites in the UK as needed. While hybrid working is available, it is essential for this key role to be performed onsite to ensure effective safety management.

What you’ll need
- An occupational safety and health qualification equivalent to EQF level 6, e.g. Degree/ NEBOSH/ NCRQ diploma, NVQ/SVQ Level 6
- A successful track record of Risk and Safety management experience in a multi-disciplined but essentially an operational environment
- Audit experience
- Experience of conducting quality reviews on work undertaken by others, providing coaching and feedback as necessary
- Experience of working with integrated management systems (ISO or equivalent).
- Experience of working in heavy industry, warehousing, transport and logistics
