Salary Range £65,000 - £70,000 + Bonus

I am delighted to be exclusively working with a leading OEM based in Dungannon on the recruitment of their Head of Safety & Environmental

The Head of Safety and Environmental will be responsible for developing and delivering the HSE strategy and working with the senior management teams across six sites to ensure alignment with the wider business strategy and objectives.

The Head of HSE will be performance-driven and able to communicate clear and concise goals, yet also maintain a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Driven and self-directed, the successful candidate will energise internal teams and third parties to deliver positive change moving from a compliance-based to a cultural-driven HSE environment.

The Role

Acting as an advocate for proactive and positive health and safety management, the Head of Safety will engage at all levels of the business to ensure that their standards for health, safety and environmental management are understood, implemented, and effectively managed.

The Head of Safety will also manage the EHS team of four officers ensuring that they are effectively developed and supported to fulfil their roles and through that ensuring that there is adequate support and guidance.

What you will need:

  • Professionally qualified within the health and safety field (NEBOSH/NCRQ, BSc or MSc in Safety related discipline)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the safety, health and environment challenge faced by a diverse organisation (e.g, manufacturing, warehouse, field-based, engineering, office-based employees).
  • An inspirational and motivational leadership style
  • A passion for health and safety & environmental
  • An autonomous, agile work ethic
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • A subject matter expert who can embed Health & Safety in the fabric of the business.
  • Someone coming from a similar level role within a business of comparable risk profile, who is knowledgeable and credible and who can provide the leadership required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate the plan at all levels.
