Are you looking for a Head of Health & Safety (SHEQ) job in the Monaghan area? This award-winning Electrical Contractor is looking to appoint a Head of Health & Safety to report directly to the Managing Director and take full ownership of Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management.

The purpose of this role is to provide clear strategic leadership for Health, Safety & Environmental & Quality across the group. In this role, you will strategically lead and co-ordinate the many activities into a clear deliverable strategy.

Working in a high risk, complex, multi people environment, you will have a passion for SHEQ, ensuring the business understands the positive impact SHEQ has, and the importance it holds.

You will lead and inspire colleagues, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders through delivering a strategic vision; generating engaging communications; and implementing coordinated approaches to ensure excellence across safety and sustainability.

This is a rare opportunity to join their dedicated Senior Management team.

To be successful in this role you MUST have.

• Proven, demonstrable experience in a similar senior role, ideally gained in a related industry such as Electrical Utilities or Construction
• Strong track record of delivering sustainable safety performance improvement through behavioural change.
• An industry-recognised qualification such as the NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
• Currently hold or working towards chartered membership of IOSH (CMIOSH)
• Demonstrable, significant experience in health and safety, including operations experience
• Experience of maintaining or reaching externally audited management standards such as ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001, 45001, etc.
• Experience of working with senior management
