Are you a Graduate Safety, Health Environment Officer, looking for a new job in the Cookstown area? As Environmental Health & Safety Officer with this company, you will be part of the management team that manages safety & environmental compliance across the business.
As Environment Health & Safety Officer your new job will include the following:
- Actively support the Senior Management team in ensuring compliance with the EHS obligations in the business
- Assist in the identification, assessment and control measures of EHS risks
- Support and encourage innovation to achieve the project’s EHS objectives
- Carry out inspections, record all observations and distribute actions accordingly.
- Co-ordinate the collection of accurate EHS KPI data
- Report and record all EHS incidents and carry out investigations when appropriate
- Promote the sustainability agenda and encourage project teams to engage with innovative solutions to manage environmental impacts
The successful EHS Officer you will have the following skills:
- Relevant qualification in Health & Safety
- Ideally, you will have knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001
- Have experience in Safety, Health and Environment in the workplace and the associated legislation and requirements.
- Ability to facilitate a flexible work pattern to meet the demands of the role
- Effective interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Self-motivated, with an ability and desire to work collaboratively with other teams and/or organisations to create new opportunities
- Ability to self-manage, and plan ahead, anticipating requirements and communicating effectively at each stage
